Love Story
Thursday. 9.18.08 11:07 am
hello people.

so here is something i wanted to show you! :D a parody of Sarah Palin and Hilary Clinton! hah. super funny. really.

okay. so, i was reading PEOPLE news online, and i came accross this:
"Brad Pitt Gives $100,000 to Fight Gay Marriage Ban"
so, i went on to read more. and here is what the article says:

The same week he and Angelina Jolie pledged $2 million to help fight tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia, Brad Pitt has given $100,000 to stop a California ballot initiative that would ban same-sex marriage – the largest donation so far from a prominent individual in the entertainment industry, reports Variety.

"Because no one has the right to deny another their life even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn't harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8," Pitt, who gave to the group Californians Against Eliminating Basic Rights, said in a statement.

A spokeswoman for the organization ProtectMarriage, which supports passage of Proposition 8, said of Pitt, "We certainly respect his right in the political process, but we don’t believe he is the most exemplary figure on the issue of marriage."

Bi-Partisan Issue
Republican California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama oppose Proposition 8. Republican nominee John McCain is in favor of it.

"It is our hope that others in the entertainment industry will step up and match Brad Pitt's heroic commitment to equality and to defeating Prop. 8," said political strategist Chad Griffin, who is aiming to defeat the measure, which is due on the Nov. 4.

Two years ago, Pitt said about his own much-speculated-upon relationship with Jolie, "Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able."

So far, California and Massachusetts recognize same-sex marriage.

hmm. i havent actually gone to find out what Proposition 8 is really about, but i think that i would. considering how much time i acutally have on my hands. tsk. anyways, just wanted to let you guys read that. :D

alrights. thats all for now!
xoxo!

My 17th!
Wednesday. 9.17.08 5:47 am
hello dears.

so since the last time i blogged, things have changed. mainly that i grew (seemingly), a year older. i'm not at the most very elated nor dissatisfied. but yet, i hope that this 17th year ahead would turn better than my 16th. not that it was horrible, it was a wonderful journey. but i would absolutely love it to get better. :D

i dont know if its a very good idea to do this. but i will still do it. I'm not entirely happy with the Presidential Elections that are gonna take place in November in the USA. basically, i wasnt exactly very happy when Clinton didnt get chosen to represent the Democrats. i think that not only in terms of experience and age does Clinton dominate, but also in terms of the stance. Clinton has this killer aura! and now, with Sarah Palin representing the Republicans. gosh, why HER?! 5 children and one of them just 17, already pregnant? and well, she's just not very like-able from many sides. other than some blind slighted mothers who think that going with the republics would benefit them, no - she wont.

and then issues like abortion, drugs, homosexual marriages are so annoying. they just keep coming. "pro-life" is what she calls it. she sounds like a genteel dictator behind the sheath and protection of a campaign. here is what my friend and i came across which is absolutely insane. it sounds worse than a brainwash and propaganda issue. seriously, we know that homosexuality isn't entirely right for Christians, but don't go all out to publish it. it seems almost desperate and eccentric.:

"Gov. Sarah Palin’s church is promoting a conference that promises to convert gays into heterosexuals through the power of prayer. You’ll be encouraged by the power of God’s love and His desire to transform the lives of those impacted by homosexuality,” according to the insert in the bulletin of the Wasilla Bible Church, where Palin has prayed since she was a child. Palin’s conservative Christian views have energized that part of the GOP electorate, which was lukewarm to John McCain’s candidacy before he named her as his vice presidential choice. She is staunchly anti-abortion, opposing exceptions for rape and incest, and opposes gay marriage and spousal rights for gay couples."

ahhh. i see. to read more, click the link here: http://dwb.adn.com/news/politics/elections/governor06/story/8049298p-7942233c.html and it would be a shame if McCain won this elections even though i strongly feel that Obama doesn't stand a very good chance. oh well, lets just watch it unravel before us.

oh, yeah. lastly, to add? my blog posts here would be sort of on these kinda topics. ha. if you wana read more on my other sides like the music and insanely mad life, check out my blogspot, through the link on the previous post!

lotsa love!
